Born and raised in the southern Alberta foothills, Bretton depicts a side of life that is broadly unrepresented in the Canadian media landscape. Bretton Lee John’s upcoming self-titled debut was recorded in Winnipeg with a heavy hitting roster including members of Corb Lund’s Hurtin’ Albertans, and is comprised of story driven songs about the people and places he grew up with.
